Round the bend Invite soft curves in with this DIY side table
YOU WILL NEED
1 x 40cm x 40cm x 18mm piece of pine 1 x 50cm x 40cm x 18mm bit of pine 50cm length of dowel 35mm x 0.9m
HOW TO MAKE
Step 1 Take your 40cm x 40cm piece of walnut and draw a half circle at the end using a pencil attached to a bit of string to get a perfect form.
Step 2 Using a jigsaw, cut out this half circle and sand off the borders. Wipe down with a damp cloth.
Step 3 Step 8cm in the top of the curve and create a mark on the back of the piece of walnut.
Step 4 Attach the dowel using a 40mm countersunk screw.
Step 5 Attach the 50cm x 40cm pine to the horizontal edge of the table with 3 x 30mm countersunk screws (make sure all of the screws are screwed in below the wood surface).
Step 6 Fill the screw holes with wood filler and then leave to dry.
Step 7 Sand and wash with a damp cloth.
Measure 8 Paint the dining table, applying at least two coats of your desired colour. Allow to dry thoroughly.
Measure 9 Pop next to your favorite chair and revel in.
